Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10:28AM We had another snowfall last night and today. We tried, somewhat successfully, to sled. Making snowballs didn't work as well - the snow was too dry. Some pics will be forthcoming.

First, Zeki got an Eid gift from an unknown benefactor (really, who gave him this awesome scooter? It wasn't marked.)
About a month or so ago - time really does fly when you're a parent - Zeki and his friend Geffen went to the NC Museum of Life and Science and spent some quality time playing together.
We have a trip to Hawaii left to chronicle and now that I've gotten the blog software upgraded and working well, I think we'll be using the site again.

Zeki turns 2! Zeki toasted his 2nd birthday with bug cupcakes, milk, and friends from Solecitos. I think the bug cupcakes came out pretty cute. Hopefully that will make up for the fact that the birthday hat I made him looks like a dunce cap.
Certainly no dunce here!
We celebrated a second time on his actual birthday with both sets of grandparents, Aunt Sherene and cousins Minna and Mahmoud. I think Zeki now gets that birthday = a day when your parents let you get juiced up on sugar and then everyone showers you with attention and more toys than any small toddler should have. He has been asking for "birthday" every day since...
It was also Sammy's 33rd birthday and my dad's 69th birthday.
